DUBAI INTERNATIONAL RALLY

This year is a special one as it is the 40th Anniversary of the National Day of the UAE and it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 33rd annual Dubai International Rally, the final round of the 2011 FIA Middle East Rally Championship and the country's longest running motor sport event.

For over 3 decades, the rally has provided many dramatic finishes to the FIA regional series, and the place it enjoys in Middle East rallying history would not have been possible without the tireless and consistent support of the Dubai Ruler's Court, and Dubai Municipality.

An international rally cannot be staged without substantial infrastructure and services support, and for this we are indebted to a large number of private and government organisations, including Emarat, Emaar, Explorer, Dubai Customs, DP World, Dubai Police, Dubai Immigration Department, the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Civil Defence, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, and the Unified Ambulance service.

The Dubai International Rally has traditionally become part of UAE National Day celebrations, and it is a pleasure to invite you to join with all Emiratis as we mark this proud occasion and look forward to an exciting and enjoyable event.
